dc.description.abstract (S)-Matsutake alcohol is synthesized by enzymatic hydrolysis in 92% optical purity using bovine liver acetone powder (BLAP). The principle of substrate specificity approach is applied to the synthesis of C-8 allyl alcohols in 46-93% enantiomeric purities using BLAP. © 1994.
