Abstract
The presence of a nanofiber modifies the photon field near the nanofiber. The emission of photons into a certain direction can be enhanced by placing a nanofiber near the photon emitter. We discuss the modification of the photon field by the presence of a nanofiber and evaluate the effect of emission enhancement for a realistic experimental scheme.
