| dc.description.abstract | Reaction of n-butyltin dihydroxy chloride, n-BuSn(OH)2Cl, with the phosphinic acids, R2P(O)OH [R = C6H11But, and Ph], affords the novel chloro(oxo) tin clusters, [{n-BuSn(OH) •O2P(C6H11)2)3O] [{n-BuSnCl2O2P (C6H11)2)2OH] (1), [(n-BuSn(O)O2PBut2)(n-BuSn(OH)2O2PBut2)]2[H][Cl][n-BuSnCl(OH)(O2PBut2)]2(2), and [{n-BuSnCl2(O2PPh2){n-Bu Sn(OH)(O2PPh2)2]2-2CH2Cl2(3), respectively. The Sn-O skeleton in 1-3, as revealed by X-ray crystallography, contains 4, 6 and/or 8 membered rings. The 119Sn NMR spectra in benzene-d6 are consistent with the structures observed in the solid state. © 1989, Taylor & Francis Group, LLC. All rights reserved. | |
