dc.description.abstract We realize a photonic crystal cavity by mounting an optical nanofiber on a nanostructured grating which includes a designed defect. The device has a Q-factor of ~ 1000 and excellent coupling to the nanofiber fundamental mode. © 2014 Optical Society of America.
