dc.description.abstract Cyclopentanones are formed in the Pauson-Khand reaction of cobalt alkyne complexes in the presence of TFA. The in situ precursor complexes were formed on the reduction of CoBr2 by zinc metal in the presence of the alkynes under carbon monoxide atmosphere.
