dc.description.abstract The molecular structure of the six-membered phosphorinane ring in (1,4,7,10,13,16-hexa-oxacyclooctadecane) potassium 2-O-benzyoyl-1,3,5-O-methyl-idyne-myo-inositol 4,6-cyclophosphate trihydrate was studied. It was found that the K+ ion in the compound was eight-coordinate and connected at three sites, to one of the phosphate O atoms, one of the O atoms of the myo-inositol residue and six atoms of the crown ether. A boat conformation for the compound and intermolecular hydrogen bonding was observed.
