dc.description.abstract Enantiomeric excess of scalemic (i.e. nonracemic, 17-86% ee) 1,1'-bi-2-naphthol are readily enhanced to 90-96% ee by refluxing with B(OH)3 and TMEDA in acetonitrile, followed by acid hydrolysis of the precipitate.
