dc.description.abstract Recent result from Mini Booster Neutrino Experiment (MiniBooNE) agrees well with the Liquid Scintillator Neutrino Detector (LSND) experiment for excess event appearance and is a strong evidence for the existence of eV-scale sterile neutrino. Sterile neutrino can mix with the active neutrinos, which will be an exciting tool for sensitivity analysis of long-baseline neutrino oscillation experiments. Here we explore the effect of active-sterile mixing on the degeneracy resolution capabilities of these experiments. We found that the existence of sterile neutrino can lead to new kind of degeneracies among the oscillation parameters which are not present in the three active neutrino oscillation paradigm.
