| dc.description.abstract | Hydrolysis of (6,5), (6,7) and (6,8)-spirophosphoranes containing the six-membered ring P(OCH2CMe2CH2O) has been studied; in all the cases the six-membered phosphorinane ring is retained during the first stage of hydrolysis. The X-ray structure of one such product, (OCH2CMe2CH2O) P(O)(2,2′-O-C6H4-C6H4OH) which exhibits intermolecular H-bonding, has been determined. | |
