dc.description.abstract Application of methanolic trimethylamine, the tertiary amine containing minimum number of carbon atoms with lowest possible molecular weight, for mediating the Baylis-Hillman coupling of various aldehydes with activated olefins viz. methyl acrylate, acrylonitrile and acrolein is described.
