dc.description.abstract We report ferromagnetic resonance (FMR) measurements in rf sputter deposited Co100-xCux thin films with 27 < x < 100. Data were taken at 300 K at about 10, 22 and 36 GHz, with the field being rotated in the film plane and the plane perpendicular to it. It is found that, while STM suggests the presence of oblate spheroidal clusters, the FMR results are consistent with having a single magnetic entity, that is, a relatively complete alignment of these cluster axes parallel to the film normal. © 1995.
