Abstract
The authors regret the typographical errors in the abstract and section 3.1, where the derived rain rate is mentioned as 0.50 to 395.4 mm/h. The corrected range of derived rain rate is 0.50 to 95.4 mm/h. The following sentence in the conclusion section lack clarity in the explanation. “We found a wider DSD with a higher concentration of larger droplets for stratiform as opposed to the narrower distribution with smaller-sized rain droplets in convective rain at high cloud effective radius conditions. The narrower DSD at high cloud effective radius condition suggests the breakup of larger raindrops during its descent.” The above sentence is corrected as follows: “We found a wider DSD for convective rain with a higher concentration of larger droplets at low cloud effective radius as compared to high cloud effective radius, whereas the response of stratiform rain DSD to cloud effective radius conditions was the opposite. The narrower DSD for convective rainfall at high cloud effective radius condition suggests the breakup of larger raindrops during its descent.” The authors would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.
