| dc.description.abstract | The magnetic properties such as magnetization and magnetic susceptibility are calculated for semiconductor quantum dots with Gaussian confinement. It is shown that the magnetization and magnetic susceptibility effects are quite significant for quantum dots with deep confining potential well and the parabolic potential is only a poor approximation of the Gaussian confinement. | |
