Abstract
1,1-Diborylalkanes, prepared through hydroboration of 1-alkynes using BH3:N(C2H5)2Ph complex, on reaction with Grignard reagent followed by I2NaOH treatment and H2O2/OH- oxidation give the corresponding mixed alkyl secondary alcohols. © 1993.
