dc.description.abstract Herein, we demonstrate the synthesis of silver nanoparticles via a greener approach using Asparagus racemosus root extract and stability and antimicrobial activity of fabricated Ag NPs were evaluated. The Ag NPs were synthesized using the AgNO3 source with Asparagus racemosus root extract as a capping and reducing agent. The prepared Ag NPs were characterized using UV-visible, SEM-EDX, XRD, TEM, FTIR techniques. The antibacterial activity of Ag NPs was examined against Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis, Klebsiella pneumonia, Pseudomonas fluorescence, Aeromonas hydrophila, Edwardsiella tarda, Flavobacterium branchiophilum, and Yersinia rukeri. The resultant antibacterial activity of green AgNPs is a hope and an assurance to nano drug formulations to tackle bacterial infections against human as well as fish bacterial pathogens.
