dc.description.abstract La2CuO4 becomes superconducting at Tc=44 K when subjected to an electrochemical oxydation in 1N NaOH at room temperature. Data on AC susceptibility of this compound as a function of temperature and DC fields from 0 to 85 Oe are presented and compared with those obtained on other known superconductors. Our studies indicate that the superconductivity in our sample is not confined to the surface as might be expected for a process dependent on small diffusion coefficients. © 1992.
