dc.description.abstract The complex permittivity and complex permeability of synthesized M-type hexagonal ferrite powders, Ba 0.5Sr 0.5Co xRu xFe (12-2x)O 19 (x∈=∈0.0, 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8, 1.0, 1.2) are measured at X-Band. The experimental results conclude that Co 2+ and Ru 4+ ions substitution enhances electromagnetic properties, rendering the use of ferrite for lossy applications. The acceleration in hoping mechanism between Fe 2+ and Fe 3+ ions leads to dominance of ε′and ε″ over μ′and μ″ along entire frequency band. © 2011 Springer Science+Business Media, LLC.
