dc.description.abstract A simple synthesis protocol for stable aqueous colloidal solutions of poly(4-styrenesulfonate) templated polyaniline is developed. The electrical conductivity and submicro/nano features observed in their spin-coated films are shown to be correlated to the polyelectrolyte template molecular weight. This demonstrates the utility of the latter as a new design element for conducting polymer films. © 2003 Elsevier Ltd, All rights reserved.
