Abstract
An organic receptor [C < inf > 28 < /inf > H < inf > 24 < /inf > N < inf > 4 < /inf > ] < sup > 2+ < /sup > can be obtained with its unusual cis-form when it is ion-paired with a [Zn(dmit) < inf > 2 < /inf > ] < sup > 2- < /sup > coordination complex anion with the isolation of [C < inf > 28 < /inf > H < inf > 24 < /inf > N < inf > 4 < /inf > ][Zn(dmit) < inf > 2 < /inf > ]·2DMF (2). Compound 2 shows reversible cis-trans isomerization of the cationic receptor in a solid to solid transformation in a solid-liquid interface reaction.
