Abstract

In the lamellar architecture of the title crystal structure mediated by C–H⋯O hydrogen bonds, 1,2-dimethoxyethane and n-hexane are included in the hydrophobic galleries; isostructurality of these clathrates is a unique case of guest mimicry. © 2001 The Royal Society of Chemistry.
