dc.description.abstract The behavior and structure of charged colloidal particles in aqueous suspension have been discussed. A wedge shaped layered structure is formed by hard walls in the suspension. The wedge confinement have effects on the particle interactions, structural ordering and phase transitions. These effects of the confinement on the equilibrium structure and associated properties are studied using Monte Carlo simulations and light scattering techniques.
