dc.description.abstract The crystal structures of trimethyl isocyanurate, C6H9N3O3, (1), and triethyl isocyanurate, C9H15N3O3, (2), contain topologically similar C-H⋯ O hydrogenbonded networks. In (1), there are two symmetryindependent molecules and each forms its own layer structure. In (2), two of the ethyl groups point one way with respect to the heterocyclic ring, while the third points in the opposite direction.
