dc.description.abstract A novel phosphine-catalyzed umpolung [3 + 2]-annulative dimerization of ynones was developed to furnish functionally rich 5-alkylidene-2-cyclopentenones. In this protocol, ynone acts as both C2 and C3 synthons, which undergo [3 + 2]-annulative dimerization.
