| dc.description.abstract | Synthesis of superconducting YBa2Cu3O7-δ has been achieved by a rapid and energy saving process starting with nitrate precursors. The process involves the preparation of an intimate mixture of Y, Ba and Cu oxides by the combustion of a mixture of the corresponding metal nitrates with urea. The reaction takes place in just 5 min at 525 ° C. The oxide mixture is then heat treated for relatively short durations to obtain the superconducting material. © 1989. | |
