dc.description.abstract A detailed theoretical account of the photodetachment dynamics of ClO2- was carried out. For this purpose, the near-equilibrium ab initio C2v PESs of Peterson and Werner was extended to Cs configurations assuming a harmonic vibration along the asymmetric stretch coordinate. The nuclear dynamics was studied with the aid of a time-dependent WP method.
