dc.description.abstract Spheroid metallocavitands [((Re(CO)3L)3)2L′] with a diameter of ∼17 Å, possessing eight solvent-accessible calixarene-shaped receptors on the surface, were obtained from a Re2(CO)10, rigid NN donors (H-L), and flexible hexatopic N donors (L′) in a one-step process.
