Abstract
The demand for cost-effective, flexible optoelectronic devices has increased rapidly over the recent years owing to their numerous practical applications. Perovskites, due to their phenomenal performances have marked a new era in the class of efficient photovoltaics. Albeit the conventional substrate configurations accomplishing the skyrocketing efficiencies in par with silicon, their flexible substrate configurations are yet to be realised for widespread utilisation. Flexible perovskite solar cells (FPSCs) is undoubtedly is a most attractive option their large-area, roll-toroll processing, conformability, light-weight, easy bendability, stretching, wearability and high-power conversion efficiencies (PCEs). Selection of proper materials, processing techniques and long-term durability have played a vital role in commercialisation of the f-PSC. In this chapter, we have discussed the achievements of the FPSCs with their device structure, operating principle and various intrinsic properties. The most commonly used flexible substrates are also discussed in detail. Finally, the processability of FPSCs with encapsulation are summarised.
