Abstract
The supramolecular assembly of a 2D honeycomb network via carboxylic acid-pyrimidinone-dimer synthon and the unexpected occurrence of 3D diamondoid net in the crystal structure of a dipyridyl urea hydrate illustrate the title theme. © 2008 The Royal Society of Chemistry.
